Arlington Schools Train New Teachers And Host Anxiety Webinar
ARLINGTON — Arlington Public Schools spends this week getting newly hired teachers ready for the school year, running back-to-back orientation and curriculum training days, and the district is also offering a free virtual webinar for parents on childhood anxiety.

New Educator Orientation Day 2 takes place Aug. 18, followed by New Educator Curriculum Day 1 on Aug. 19 and New Educator Curriculum Day 2 on Aug. 20, according to the district's public calendar. The sessions come as newly hired staff prepare for the start of the school year.
On Aug. 19, APS is offering a free Cartwheel webinar for parents and caregivers, "When School Feels Hard: Understanding Anxiety and Avoidance in Kids," from 7 to 8 p.m. on Zoom.
