ARLINGTON — The Heights Action Plan Implementation Committee deliberated on a revised zoning proposal for the Heights Business District, reaching consensus to keep residential parcels on Paul Revere Road, Surrey Road, and Daniels Street within the district boundary. The proposal removes height bonus incentives, defers industrial parcel decisions to 2027, establishes a 5-story or 60-foot height maximum, requires landscaped open space, and modifies use categories to encourage commercial and mixed-use development. Committee members reasoned that including residential parcels would preserve long-term district flexibility and enable parcel consolidation.

A public forum on the proposal is scheduled for November 5, 2026.
