ARLINGTON --
TOWN -- The Arlington Park and Recreation Commission met Oct. 13 to review and approve several sets of prior meeting minutes, correcting details that touch on local recreation facilities. One correction clarified that North Union Field, the town's baseball diamond, "has a large drop-off requiring $150,000 worth of work," including a stairway and a retaining wall, as part of a five-year capital projects list the Recreation Department had been asked to submit. Commissioners also revised language describing the proposed McLaren skate park, clarifying that the surface will feature built-in terrain elements rather than standalone equipment that could be bolted down or relocated; one commissioner described the changes as "standalone equipment" rather than separate add-on features. The commission noted the Oct. 13 session was being recorded "for the first time in a long time." A member of the public, Liz Reisberg, asked the commission during the meeting to consider allowing public comment on specific agenda items earlier in future meetings rather than only at the session's end.
