Arlington ZBA Closes Hearings on Fisher Road Porch, Mystic Street Fence Appeal

ARLINGTON — March 24, 2026 — Arlington's Zoning Board of Appeals closed public hearings on a Fisher Road porch enclosure and a Mystic Street fence appeal at its remote March 24 meeting. Chair Christian Klein led the board through unanimous votes on both items, with full members Patrick Hanlon, Venkat Hulley, and Adam LeBlanc joined by Associates Brad Baranowski and Eric Rosenberg; Associate Thomas DuPont was absent. For docket 3896 at 49 Fisher Road, designer Spencer Hollywell of Newly Designed Construction presented plans for Shannon and Lucas Dennis showing that an existing roofed side porch within the required setback would be enclosed with large windows rather than solid walls; Klein described the design as "what I would hope a porch enclosure would look like — effectively an outdoor room."
