ARLINGTON -- March 17, 2026, Select Board candidate Joseph Solomon made his case for a seat on the Arlington board at a March 17 appearance, citing family roots, civic experience, and a platform centered on schools, housing, and traffic safety. Solomon, currently vice chair of the town's capital planning committee and a Precinct 16 town meeting member, said he is a "yes vote on the March 28th override to keep them funded," referring to the Proposition 2.5 question on the upcoming ballot. He also called for Arlington to adopt a formal Vision Zero traffic-safety commitment and expand housing options for aging residents, pointing to his own family's experience with accessory dwelling units and multi-family housing. No board business was conducted in the portion of the meeting captured by the transcript.
